I usually fly 2-3 long haul flights with one world partners (credit everything to QR), and I have a credit card that earns me BA avois points. I redeem avois points every year. So I believe I am able to keep my QR or other one world account active. I understand the situation in the Middle East right now. It’s just how QR handles this really disappointing me. It has been almost 2 weeks, and I am still waiting for my $5000 refund; I am also waiting for QR to credit my JAL flights. They never replied on WhatsApp, and I haven’t had any luck to talk to a real person. I recently canceled an Emirates flight, I got refund confirmation email the next day.
