CDG-TNR on what looks like the older A350.

I was able to chose seats on the 777 flights but am being promoted to 'buy' seats on the a 350 plane. Why is there a difference?
It's a bug. Every seat selection, except the Business Suite in J should be free to select for you. You should call the PSL to make the selection. This bug appears once in a while.
