BA has NEVER been apologetic when they make boneheaded moves, the normal playbook as we know is to fight like hell on a hill for a year or two and then when it is a complete disaster, essentially roll things back, either unannounced, but rarely as a real enhancement.

No water on short haul flights in economy.

Supposed IATA restrictions on both cabin and check-in weight.

From what I know, from talking to BA adjacent people, the new program has been a S-show. They know this. Overall business has been flat, but internally they know that it is unliked and way too complicated (and now even more so). The internal projections are way off. My understanding is that business is way down with NON UK based people, to the point where one described it to me as "disastrous".

My prediction is the following, sometime in the next few weeks we will find that they are extending either everyone or most people by a year, the Gulf/Iran crisis will be the excuse. The hope being that the latest "bonuses" will placate people, they will not, They should have just taken the old system, maybe added a minimum spend, and been done with it.
