Just to follow up, I had requested switching to the next earlier HEL-LAX nonstop which, being a few days earlier, necessitated also moving up my Asia to HEL flight on the same reservation. This was honored so I now only have about half a day in HEL. Not a huge issue for me as the primary goal of my trip is to circumnavigate the globe in business class stopping by some of the best Oneworld Emerald lounges (LAX, SYD, HND, HKG, HEL) before my BA gold status expires at the end of April. Now I’ll be doing the whole thing in under 96 hours.
