Searching for a single specific fare class invites this problem in instances where there is no applicable fare. I've found the better approach is to search for all fare classes W or higher, i.e., run your search for Y, B, M, E, U, H, Q, V, W
(And how sad of a comment is it that I can recite UA's fare hierarchy by memory?)
