The other issue with congee is they don't load much. Overheard FA state on HKG-SFO recently that only six had been loaded (for a 60 pax cabin).
I skip breakfast on UA. At most, just the fruit.

The difference in training between SQ and UA is off the charts. SQ FAs get something like five weeks of training on F&B service alone.
