Same experience. Took 70 minutes from arrival at gate to bag delivery at T3. Wrote a quick note via the usual contact form.

Within a couple hours had 5,000 Avios credited, but no actual reply. About a day later the actual reply came in, but it was more a generic 'we're sorry we fell short' rather than address the specific circumstances.
