VS has a flight at 20:35, so they will probably not be letting anyone with PP until those people head to the gate. Just leave your bags at the hotel and head into town for the afternoon. There are plenty of worthwhile spots in the vicinity that can easily be explored in that time (many great recommendations in the LA sub). There is not a lounge on earth where I would want to spend 11 hours, and the VS lounge is very small.
