Makes sense -- the PZ space is gone on EWR - Europe so will just keep it as is, no need to risk the confirmed J for that flight just to move from 7B to 4A on a 1 hour flight!
Unless another EWR–Europe flight has PZ availability and can be changed to without a significant fare increase.
