Per jsloan's post, it's an additional 20 PPs. But you have another option: if the EWR-Europe flight still has PZ then you can cancel the current request and go back to coach on the ex-EWR flight. Then apply PPs all over again and both segments will upgrade immediately with PZ open. I would not downgrade yourself unless PZ is open because when you cancel your upgrade it's unlikely to go back into the PZ bucket. You would then clear RDU-EWR but be on the waitlist for EWR-Europe with no idea where on the list you'll be.

Makes sense -- the PZ space is gone on EWR - Europe so will just keep it as is, no need to risk the confirmed J for that flight just to move from 7B to 4A on a 1 hour flight!
