I think it makes sense since the routines that needs familiarization are more for the FAs rather than pilots + FAs. If they "spread out" the initial domestic familiarization routes of this aircraft type beyond just SFO-LAX, perhaps that might be a clue to what hub/s might get these planes for some international routes???
I would assume that the immediate need for familiarization would be for the initial flights which were announced to be SFO-SIN and SFO-LHR. Once they get more airplanes, they can worry about training for FA for future routes?
