Also there are no power outlets within 10 feet of where I'm sitting, and my laptop just ran out of juice.
Edit: Moved to a cafeteria table with outlets. They were not working. Two people already at the table said we had to use the outlets on the floor.
So I got down on my knees and did what any good engineer would do. I unplugged the table and plugged it back in again. Immediately I heard a few "oh whatever you did it works!"
So power has been restored to my laptop.
Where do I send my electrician invoice?
This sounds like the standard operating procedure of YVR, the domestic lounge table plugs always need fiddling with. YHZ is bad for plugs as well, But hopefully they fix all that with the renovation.
