bealine, so are you agreeing with the above poster that BA was somehow ripped off and that your bins are designed to carry less than 18kg each (as opposed to every single other airline in the world where the bins can carry many multiples of this??)? I thought not. I should also add that that the poster first said baggage, then referred to one piece, therefore it was not quite explicit how many pieces he/she was referring to. I will agree that perhaps 18kg is a bit much for one piece of hand baggage, although definately not for two (unless somehow they become less dangerous for premium ticketed people). Also bea, is there not still some "reward" system in place at LHR for agents who "catch" and charge for the most overweight luggage?
