I am open minded to perhaps trying somewhere else though. We've also been to Park Hyatt (which I preferred to Conrad) and Meeru, which is obviously a much more 4* offering.

Top of the list are Huvafen and Milaidhoo but I am open minded to Baros also. Has anyone been to Conrad and any of these other resorts and able to offer subjective comparisons? I'm well researched about room types, reef quality etc, but I'd like a bit more of a 'sense' of things. Does Milaidhoo or Huvafen, or Baros for that matter, feel markedly elevated from Conrad? Is service better, is the sense of isolation superior? How does dining compare? I'm not really interested in doing something different for the sake of it, but if the experience is markedly improved, I might swing for it.
I have stayed in Rangali in 2019, 2022, and Milaidhoo in 2025.

Milaidhoo is more luxurious than Conrad, even comparing the post-renovated rooms in Conrad for the 2022 stay.
Excellent house reef around Milaidhoo, better than Conrad. Baa atoll, near Hanifaru Bay for Manta Rays. The snorkeling tours at Milaidhoo are surprisingly fairly priced. The sunset cruise at milaidhoo are not using luxury yachts unlikely conrad. I would say Milaidhoo is a better property, only downside is the size of it. Personally, it gets boring for long stays. I loved the size of Rangali, and being able to walk around and find spots to explore.

To mitigate this, I paired my stay with Amilla nearby. Amilla is a huge natural island, you can cycle around it, with native wild life. There were baby White-tailed Tropicbird nesting while we were there. Brought back the huge island vibes I love. I am eyeing Baros for my next island to try.
