once again, not really at a hotel, but still within walking distance. I would strongly recommend Matteo’s Osteria, based on our visits in the last two years. The walk from the hotel is a bit uphill, but nothing crazy and quite pleasant in the evening. Consequently, the way back is downhill and even easier, although we called for the house car one time after a particularly heavy meal. The food is awesome, and really is a breath of fresh air after all the restaurants in the hotels nearby. (Which are mostly fine, but nothing to write home about.) We ended up going to the Matteo’s at least twice every time we visit Maui.

also, given multiple recommendations about Four Seasons restaurants, I'd like to emphasize it's within walking distance indeed. Just be sure to take the beachfront trail, not the road. (Both are walkable, but the former is a much nicer experience.)
