You still need to use it periodically else Chase would close the card WITHOUT any notification due to inactivity. So you still need to make a point to use the sockdrawered card once every 6 months to keep it active in Chase system.
OTOH CapOne would send a notice first to let you decide (use the card at least once before a deadline date).
I discovered my Ink Unlimited closed on the very same day Chase initiated it, by accident. Then the rep noticed a couple of my no AF personal cards also have the notes on account to be closed by next month. She deactivated it and I of course used those cards in the coming days after the call. FWIW those no AF personal cards do have a niche that I intend to keep but not for regular spending.
