Looking at March 31st (i just had to book for that Tuesday so I'll use it as the example): United is operating 10 nonstops that day with 1 x 789 with Polaris, 1 x 777 with Polaris, 2 x 777s with dorm style business class, 6 x 757-200. Delta also operating 10 nonstops that day with 1 x A330-900neo, 2 x 767-400, 2 x A330-200, 1 x A330-300, 4 x 767-300ER. I realize it depends on the day, but in my opinion, despite the 763 D1 seats not being good, Delta still had a way better fleet mix on the route than United.
March 31st sounds like a wonderful day to support your argument and choose DL, but we can all find exceptions. Look at August 6-10th. Not one single aircraft the entire week other than Delta 767s. FYI usually UA has two 787s a day.
For the record I hate UA and EWR, but there is no way in he*l ill pay DL for their 767.
