I get to the "loading payment options screen" and it errors out with a message about working out kinks in the change booking feature. I'm going to give it a week or two and just call if it doesn't resolve, but it's my understanding I'll be charged $100 per ticket to make a change? I'm based in the US, and most of our airlines let you change and outright cancel award bookings for no charge (aside from a difference in miles if the new flight is more expensive); this is something I should have checked/paid attention to before I made the booking but in the meantime I wanted to know what to expect when I am able to make the change.
Unless you are super elite, have booked a flexible fare, or are changing within 24 hours of booking, aeroplan award tickets have change fees. You should expect to pay the fee whether you make the change online or on the phone.

I certainly wouldn't wait to make a change you are sure about. There is no guarantee the availability will still be there if you wait a couple of weeks.
