The March 24 event is correct, with some details already published and I believe shared here. Yes, it will serve as the official launch of the B789L. However, United has not (to the best of my knowledge) said anything about this flying from LAX at this stage. The only routes mentioned so far are SFO-SIN and SFO-LHR.
