Delta isn't giving out status to anybody...it's supposed to be a challenge to proove you do spend the money that feeds them. (However, they DID give out status in a Fly One, get 15k miles or Silver Medallion target promo in Dec 2004 and they DID have the Dash to the gate untargeted freebie 10k miles)
