I would be amazed if they were able to replicate what DXB is doing.
This takes me back to 2010 abd the ash cloud. Icelandair relocated their operations and made a mini hub at Glasgow. This minimised the impact of delays and cancellations as so many passengers were on transfer and this enabled them to keep an operation running with flights from across Europe connecting in Glasgow onwards to the US without having to go to Keflavik.
