Have not flown UA for years - But the difference between AA and UA for SAN-FLL one-way is close to $100, so would fly UA on this route.

AA allows you to put a reservation on hold for 24 hours before ticketing, does UA allow that too ? or must I purchase it when reserve ?

I have to finalize a cruise first tomorrow, before I can take care of the air.
