Thanks everyone. I'm familiar with Surfer's since I lived in Australia for a number of years, however, the last time I was there was ten years ago, and my requirements were not quite the same as I'm hoping to get this time (family vacation as opposed to party time).

I know its not near the ocean, which can be rough, but the site mentioned a lagoon pool, which will suit my two young daughters much better.

I'm not using points, since I recieved a good rate. The hotel had a special weekly rate, and with my status (Platinum) I'm hoping to get a decent upgrade. I'll be in Surfers from the 15th, so I'll update the thread with a review of the propery.
