2005. I remember flying out and choosing my MP# (there were cards at the counter with #'s filled in already). Not certain why I chose the one I did.
However, with AS' most recent acquisition, 1997. (I actually joined HA before that, but it's the date they gave me). My CO account is from before (and I think some AS flights were credited there :/)
Ironically, AS' app Atmos Card shows 2005, whereas alaskaair.com yields 1997 on my Atmos card.

I got stuck in DEN when they went tango uniform... don't recall much except I returned a lot of bag carts for quarters

8 here, but no 0's.

My only regret is not having bought the lifetime Boardroom membership at $700. If I had signed on for the lifetime membership though, I would have been rewarded with a nice wooden paneled briefcase.
Although my Mileage Plan account only credits me for about 1.4 million, per my log (which includes award flights and a ton of flights operated by Alaska metal on tickets purchased through DL, NW or AA) I should be passing the 2 million miles flown threshold sometime this fall.
Pre-remodel they had a list of Alaska Lounge lifetime members from (1979?) as a plaque near the entrance of the Alaska Boardroom.
