Hi all,
I have friends x 4 who were on this flight. They were
onboard ready to go but had to disembark when the plane went tech. They were taken to a hotel 2 hours away which was arranged by BA's representives at UVF.
They haven't rec'd a single message from BA by email or text. They called me. I rang BA yesterday who said its going at 18.00 on 3 Mar and advised me to tell them to get a taxi to the airport in good time. When the taxi arrived the driver seemed to know a bit more. He said to them it was not going to leave. BA flight status then showed 1800 + 2 as the delay.
Here we are on day +2 and flight status no longer shows this flight. Furthermore the 2 PNR's have been purged. I called BA who said they'd call me back whilst they rang operations. They duly called back and said there's a tentative time of 22.00 tonight but its not definite. BA were not talking to me re the specific PNR's because of GDP. They were giving info on the flight status only.
Do the friends take a 2 hour taxi to the airport? Airport hotels are full if unsucessful (one of the pax is a level 2 wheelchair).
Remember BA are not contacting them at all. I have a screenshot from yesterday confirming the correct contact details are in the booking. It is a TUI package. TUI don't have any knowledge of the delay. Should these pax buy the last 4 Y's on tonight's scheduled flight at £7,200?
Any info on the status of the original flight would be appreciated.
