We were going to VCE on using a companion voucher. Due to medical issues my husband could not travel. I called BA and they put the cancelled the trip (I paid no fee as I am Gold) but left the PNR the same. We have to make the journey before October. I am now trying to travel on particular dates in June. I can see the on the outbound date there is no availability. The return is fine. However there is availability however to BLQ. Do you think that I would be allowed to change the booking from LHR-VCE-LHR to LHR-BLQ-VCE? It is not the end of the world if we cannot - it is merely more convenient. If not I will wait to see if any availability comes due on the date (18th June to VCE, and if not I will book the next day when there is. I hope that all that makes sense.

I would have thought that would be fine. It's the same Avios band and it's also in the same country and within the normal distance for rebooking if your flight was cancelled (it's 85 miles VCE-BLQ).
Certainly doesn't hurt to ring them up and ask.
