Upgrade cheaper fares still possible?
What this says, do not bother to buy expensive Y fares and upgrade or even an A fare, just pay a fee and buy status then buy cheaper tickets and get upgraded.
I just read on WebFlyer that CO is going the route USAIR and Delta tried of restricting free upgrades to the more expensive fares. Did anyone get this notification? Both US and Delta had to retract similar policy changes, and we see what it did to their corporate health...I left one of them for Continental. Did I choose the wrong alternative?
