I haven’t run the numbers on this, but others have and they pointed out to me that the new system actually gives out more eups than the old system.

What I do know is that I’ve already earned 30 eups for being SE, 30 threshold eups, and 36 FP activity eups this year. On top of that I haven’t selected any of the milestones that are available so I could have 30 more if I wanted them.

My eupgrade account balance is currently at its all time high with 320. I don’t even fly or spend much compared to many here.
