Even to the Caribbean transiting via CLT/MIA will be punitive. Sometimes you are stuck taking the downgrade for business or

Yeah when a pilot can snipe a J/F seat (even paid) on a 14 hour overwater flight without recourse, there’s really no reason to trust AA with thousands of your dollars.
