Honestly just sequential odd windows. You can stand in the seat entrance to have a brief chat and otherwise it's not very convenient to interact between any pairs of seats other than the center ones.
This seems exceedingly unlikely given the timeframe and the fact that OP isn't even confirmed in J yet. But in general I agree.
