I do not understand why it would take so much time ... In my case, it was all done in 3 days, taking into consideration that I knew they would expect to see a recent TK flight in my account prior to initiating the process. Responses always came in less than 24 hours, usually in the early mornings. I asked for the match (from SQ Gold), they sent me their requirements, I provided what they asked for, I was matched - it was as simple as that, and mind you at each stage I received feedback from a different CSR, without any challenges in communication. One warning: there is 0% flexibility in what they require, if they ask for something, find a way to provide it, there will be no compromises made, so read carefully.

I was matched around 20.10. last year, my 4-month trial period just ended at the end of February, I had the required minimum one flight (in reality, more than one), my status has been automatically extended until the end of October and as long as I accumulate 15k status miles from TK flights until then (I foresee no issues), it will be extended for another full year, after which I will have to start requalifying under the standard requirements.
