With multiple segments, computing the price for segment by mileage means any downgrade on TPAC/TATL will be even worse.
Even to the Caribbean transiting via CLT/MIA will be punitive. Sometimes you are stuck taking the downgrade for business or
forfeiture of hotel and related costs.
Time to re-evaluate using AA.
