BINGO , thank you . That explains it, I’ve never used mobile boarding pass (MBP). I prefer to put my phone (and other pocket items) inside my carry-on BEFORE I get to the screening point, dislike being “that guy” who slows down 100 other people by emptying my pockets AT the carry-on conveyor belts.

And I’ve thought MBP technology is weak and flawed; seems that at boarding gates MBPs always scan more slowly; not bright enough, not lined up correctly with scanner, disappeared from phone, phone dropped, screensaver popped on, weak battery, etc., etc., etc. (Even if each individual MBP scan only takes a few seconds longer than paper, added 100-300 times and it’s a significant delay which might overwhelm other boarding bottlenecks.)

But you can’t fight city hall and you shouldn’t ignore “progress”, guess from now on it will be MBP for me.

Would Touchless ID still be on a MBP if the MBP is opened a day or an hour after printing a hard copy paper boarding pass?

I was able to find MANY images of MBPs WITH Touchless ID (icon), couldn’t find any images of MBPs WITHOUT Touchless ID, would love to see the difference.

Thanks again.

(Mods, sorry for posting this in 2 different threads in 2 different forums. Discussions of TSA procedures should not be on a specific airline forum and should instead be (consolidated) on the Travel Safety/Security, Trusted Travelers forum.)
