With 32 extra B78X's due over the next few years, BA will need to train up a lot more B787 pilots and perhaps with quite a few free slots in LHR's schedule at the moment, they are taking advantage of it to familiarise some new pilots on the aircraft?

Alternatively, this aircraft has been out of use since 28th Feb. Potentially there is a defect on the aircraft they can’t replicate on the ground so it’s going out for a test flight.
