I have a Club membership. After watching the video, I would have had zero problem letting UA close the UC to help them out (and buy them a drink and provide food). Every single one of those passengers probably would appreciate the gesture after what they just went through. Plus there's a direct elevator from the tarmac to the UC for transport of items they left behind on the plane. The more I think about it, the smarter it gets.
