35. (1992) Ah… you love these long, convoluted flight itineraries! I mean, what’s the fun in flying nonstop from Maui to Pittsburgh? Well, not that you could, anyway, but I digress.
This week’s journey between OGG and PIT requires four nonstop flights. Each flight will be operated by a different airline, and each aircraft will be built by a different manufacturer.
Only one routing will fit this bill. So channel your inner airline geek and provide your adoring audience with all four airlines, the complete routing, and all four unique aircraft types.
are we starting off with a Hawaiian D8S again? let's try SEA for the first connection point, with the whole trip being:- OGG-SEA HA D8S
- SEA-Minneapolis/MSP Northwest A320
- MSP-Chicago/ORD United 727-200
- ORD-PIT American Fokker 100
this is actually believable, because a late afternoon departure from OGG would have arrived into SEA ~2200, and I'm far too well acquainted with the SEA-MSP redeye and its gawdawful ~0045 departure
This is much closer. HA D8S to SEA followed by NW 320 to MSP are
Correct!
The 727-200 out of MSP is also correct, but not to ORD, and not with United, but the American Fokker 100 into PIT on the final leg is
Correct!
Good luck!
38. (2001) You need to fly from Myrtle Beach, SC to Spokane, WA. Your trip will feature four flights aboard three airlines – each of them operating the exact same make and model of aircraft. The first two flights will be aboard the same airline. The first flight will make one enroute stop to the first connection airport. The second flight will be nonstop. The third and fourth flights will also be nonstops, each operated by a different airline. Alright then, you’ve got plenty to work with here, so please provide the three airlines, the complete routing and of course the aircraft type common to all four flights.
If not M80s, how about 737-300s (admittedly this routing is somewhat roundabout, but Delta being out of the picture complicates the geography)
.- MYR-Charlotte/CLT-Pittsburgh/PIT on US; PIT-Dallas/DFW also on US
- DFW-Denver/DEN on Frontier
.
Yer gettin' closer. It was a 737, but not a -300.
US Air and Frontier were not involved, but United was.
CLT, PIT and DFW were not involved, but DEN was.
HINT: The last flight into GEG was not nonstop from DEN
