So apply SUA before changes.
Easy fix to this is call to apply the points on the points advance reservation and they will compensate you the difference. THen, after the points have been applied, you can apply the SUA on a subsequent phone call. I have seen this done before and it works. They key is you have to make 2 seperate phone calls.
