i was meant to be flying at 1600 back to LHR from LCA and after about 1.5 hours of waiting and dealing with them on the phone, they booked me with Aegean to Athens and the 20:10 back to LHR both in J, as per my original ticket (although it was an avios ticket and there weren't avios avail on the ba leg so they booked a paid seat it seems ) . I was glad to get out of there to my two little kids at home i needed to get back to. really didnt want to get stuck. what i found annoying and unfair is how long they took to update it was cancelled on the app/website. on my app and on flightradar etc it said delayed and kept getting more delayed. when i spoke on the phone she said it was cancelled but this wasnt announced until 40 mins later. why leave people waiting when internally you know it's delayed.
