When we asked the front desk at checkout, they said it would affect my points accrual if they made changes so the easiest thing to do would be to contact Hilton after the fact to add the second name. Any hints on who to talk to at Hilton to get this done? I called once and the first-line support person did not understand what I was asking them to do.
It's been a decade since my night audit days (and that was OnQ), but if the hotel has knowledgeable people on the front desk, they absolutely can move the second night charge to a folio in the name of the other guest. It is easier to set that up before checkout (and in the case of OnQ at least, folios older than a certain age don't have charges visible to regular front desk staff).
