I don’t think that’s an unreasonable view but I am absolutely sure they wouldn’t be planning these flights out of DXB or those out of AUH unless they were extremely sure they could guarantee clear airspace.

Whether that comes from improved US/UAE control or a back-channel deal with the Iranians I cannot tell you but I would be willing to go home on a flight if EK/EY/BA/VS/QR etc. felt it was safe. A serious incident with a commercial aircraft caused by a lax approach to this would be the end of the airline and tourism in the region for many years to come.
