I agree, but I think a lot of posters in this thread don't feel the same magic about Big Sur as you or I do. They are treating this just as a hotel in some half-decent place, whereas I see Big Sur as one of the top places in the world I would like to just...exist in.
Agree on the magic of Big Sur. One of my very favorite places in CONUS. Without that allure, this property would be definitely less special.
I do think the view is better at Carmel Highlands, but Ventana is a much better and quieter property.
