Getting to InterContinental Paris Le Grand from CDG since the end of Roissybus

The former Roissybus stopped directly opposite the hotel at Opéra.

Since the service ended on 1 March — withdrawn due to chronic congestion leaving Paris and on the A1 motorway, and a 40% fall in ridership since 2023 — the following alternatives are now the most practical.

1. RER B + Metro (Recommended)
  • Take the RER B from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Châtelet–Les Halles (approx. 30–35 minutes).
  • Change to Metro Line 7 (direction La Courneuve) and alight at Opéra (around 5 minutes).
  • The hotel is directly opposite the station exit.
Total journey time: approximately 45–50 minutes.

Fare: €14 airport ticket (unless covered by a Navigo pass).

Despite occasional disruptions, this remains the quickest and most straightforward public transport option.

2. Express Coach 9517 + Metro 14
  • Take the 9517 express coach from CDG to Saint-Denis–Pleyel (approx. 45 minutes).
  • Change to Metro Line 14 to Madeleine (direct, fully automated line).
  • From Madeleine, the hotel is a 5–7 minute walk.
Fare: €2.05 bus ticket plus a standard metro fare.

This is the most economical option, though it involves one change and a short walk.

3. Taxi or Private Transfer
  • Journey time: 35–60 minutes depending on traffic.
  • Fixed airport fare to the Right Bank: €56.

For guests travelling with luggage or arriving late in the evening, this remains the simplest door-to-door solution.
