In fairness I kind of get that, but this was just a ton of food on a single tray. To be fair, the cabin crew had to be seated for about 30 minutes after takeoff due to light chop. Dessert wasn't offered nor did I see anyone order it.

I had a glass of the Mascot after the Aperol spritz - like others said it's quite good.

Woke up about 75 minutes outside of LHR and she instantly appeared and asked if I wanted coffee and breakfast - just had the fruit plate without the tray and ate in arrivals lounge.
Later IAD-LHR is my frequent route, so is the later return flight from LHR.

I agree it is too much food and too late in the day for a full meal, especially if one eats at the Polaris Lounge.

On most of the transatlantic flights, I tend to pick the later flight (if there are multiple flights), because the early morning arrivals lead to wait for hotel rooms.

On transpacific routes, I prefer late departure out of SFO and eat on the plane due to the horrible state of SFO Polaris Lounge. 6 am departure out of IAD to connect at SFO is also not desirable for me. If leaving from my home in South Florida, there is little chance I can connect onto the morning transpac flights.
