Yes, of course. I am not asking for sympathy here. I wrote that in a moment of despair. You do not have to live my life. However, my point still stands - the same people, not new people, keep predicting the demise of BA on the basis of their behavior. I can't understand it. I thought they would learn that they were always wrong, and yet they keep posting about the "shotrt-term" mindset of BA's management. It is not directed at the poster who mentioned it. Rather at people who have been here for years, but keep believing that BA will fold in 2-3-5 years. Can they just come out and say that they were wrong?
I for one in no way think BA will fold (especially with LHR as their ace in the hole) nor do I have any wish that they do. Over my lifetime I have well into 4 figures in BA/BOAC flights. To be fair they more than any other airline have been the best when things went very bad (sudden deaths of family members, left stranded by things out of their control, being the best at refunding the money for the COVID flight cancellations etc.) I just got tired of the endless cost cutting of the last 15 years and the changes to BAC were the final straw. I wanted to try something else. I'm enjoying my new options but wish no ill will especially on BA's employees if perhaps not so much their upper management.
