UA 925 LHR-IAD 2/28:

Probably the most empty TATL I've seen in years - only 30 or so pax in Y with plenty of empty seats in J.

Main dish was "Seared chicken in mushroom sauce with a rich barley risotto and broccoli." Was decent - I asked for a second one because I was starving. The flight attendant serving my row obliged, but seemed confused at my request...she kept asking, "Is there something wrong with yours?"

Very senior, professional LHR based cabin crew...they seemed quite bored during the flight given the light load. They probably passed through the cabin every 30 minutes or so with water bottles.

IIRC the aperitif service isn't supposed to be done as a separate service on the 763 (due to galley space), but crew delivered the aperitif first with drinks, then did a pick up, then did more drinks, then the meal. I'm guessing because of the light load.

Crew set up a snacking station in the rear-galley with water, juices, and extra nut/olive kits. Standard pre-arrival hot pizza wrap. Frankly I would have been starving at the end of the flight if I didn't pack extra snacks.

Didn't realize UA had new, turquoise colored blankets in Y - they are much thicker than the old navy ones. Even one of the FAs was talking about how much nicer they were.
