I am aware that this is probably common sense information for the FT regulars, but in light of many new faces, I think it's important to say the below.
While we all wait for the affected air-space to reopen, this does not mean you'll be flying immediately. Once the State of Qatar open the airspace to commercial aviation, QR will need to fly diverted planes and their passengers back to DOH. The ancillary suppliers to the airport (cleaners, catering, fuelling etc) will need to be reorganised, and crews (flight and cabin) will need to be assigned to whichever aircraft are on the ground and available.
If Qatari airspace reopens at 0200 (for example), please do not automatically assume that your flight at 0300 will be flying.
This is a major operation, a major mess, and while I have immense sympathy with those affected, there is also a huge clear-up needed to get people moving again.
Safe travels all.

Edited to add: One other thing to bear in mind, is that if your flight is not for 7 days, please do not bother calling. You will block the lines, and while I appreciate the necessity to have your plans sorted, you might find the agents have more information for you in a few days time.
