Very nice top-to-bottom renovation! I booked an Executive Suite (standard suite) and was further upgraded to a premium, corner Capitol Suite. One benefit of the premium suites at the HR Capitol Hill over the suites at the Grand Hyatt is that they can connect to two additional rooms.

PROS:

- proximity to Capitol Hill, The Mall
- completely renovated rooms with plentiful lighting
- excellent water pressure + temp
- Globalist recognition
- lots of seating areas/nooks in the lobby
- Fantastic gym/pool area
- Water refill stations


CONS:

- not quite as conveniently located as the Grand Hyatt, i.e. directly over a major Metro stop
- F&B not as good as the Grand Hyatt
- rooms not as large as the Grand Hyatt
- limited hours for Regency Club (Sun-Th)

Conclusion: a great option near Capitol Hill and The Mall, but I still prefer the Grand Hyatt

Photos show renovated lobby and Capitol Suite. The suite was a bit tight and felt less spacious than an Executive King Suite at the Grand Hyatt, but the windows offered better noise insulation. Very comfortable furniture.
