Another confusing Unbound Collection - the spread of this brand is really astounding. Here are my impressions and photos:

Pros:
  • Bed is comfortable - plush mattress, plush covers, plush pillows
  • Breakfast was good - I enjoyed the croissant sandwich and my breakfast salad
  • Gym on floor 3 is a decent size for NYC

Neutral:
  • Shower pressure was okay
  • The blackout curtains are bizarre as they don’t have strings, so you have to push and pull them manually
  • Offered 4 PM checkout, but Housekeeping knocked a bit rudely at 11:30 AM

Cons:
  • No upgrade given before arrival - at check-in, they said the best they could do was a Deluxe King even though suites were available - room was tiny and faced a brick wall - unclear how it was Deluxe
  • They said the room was recently renovated - there’s no way - it was clear that the room was old
  • Shower stall is way too narrow
  • No in-room Globalist welcome gift

The bed was good, but that’s about it.
