I can't talk about the Fairmont, but I have stayed 3-4 times at the Sofitel and it's a great hotel, one of my favorite Sofitel (right after the Cambodia ones
). I don't understand the "lack of breakfast" comment. If you have lounge access, you have breakfast included. And if you are platinum, you have free breakfast every day in APAC.
