I used to compare notes with a friend on a points basis, 1 point if you went through the airport in transit, 3 points if you went through immigration to land-side for a at least few hours, 5 points if you stayed overnight. This was many, many years ago and IIRC we were both well over 400 points before we sort of lost interest in counting.
